Activate Voice Calling in Whatsapp

Finally, WhatsApp upgraded to the, most awaited tool! Its, app for phone calls, free voice calling feature. Meanwhile other competitors like Hike, WeChat and Hike were previously already providing these features, WhatsApp now also introduced this free call from internet feature.

How to get Free WhatsApp Voice Calling

Just follow these steps and get voice call using whatsApp.

1) Firstly update your Whatsapp from playstore.
2) Now go to WhatsApp official download page.

Reason of step 1 is that this downloaded version does not support versions older than 2.11.561 that's why we updated our whatsApp to 2.12.5 and now from whatsapp official page version available is version 2.12.12.

3) Install this latest 2.12.12  version and enjoy free calling online and also free international calls.

You’ll need to enable Unknown Sources in your Security settings first and get a call from someone you know that already has the WhatsApp voice calling feature enabled. You'll then see three tabs at the top of your WhatsApp interface: calls, chats and contacts.

Activate Calling feature in WhatAspp using SuperSu

Follow these steps to get this feature.

1) Install SuperSu:

It requires Root permission, earlier I already told you your phone needs to be rooted. Just after installation, update the binaries.

2) Install Terminal Emulator For Android.

3) Use these below code:

su -c am start -n com.whatsapp/com.whatsapp.HomeActivity

Type this code as it is. Don't alter it or it will not function properly.
Now WhatsApp window will open allowing you to make calls. This will activate voice calling in WhatsApp. Watch the below image carefully for support.

Beware Of WhatsApp Calling Scam

Some scam websites says invite your 10 or 5 contacts to activate the voice calling or some says share this website in 5 groups to activate voice calling or get invite for the same.

Please don't respond to all those scam sites. At the end they will ask you to do a survey. And after that survey will get nothing. So just avoid all these scam websites. They have to do nothing with WhatsApp they just need more and more shares and some people to complete those surveys so that they can make some money giving you nothing in return. So it is better to ignore them

Ideas for making strong Passwords

Passwords are the magic secret words on which we all rely directly on indirectly.
Recently Many Celebs lost passwords and ultimately their private photos were stolen and were made public.

This is not the only example. There are many other losses you can face if your password is weak or it is easily accessable. You can find in news bank account got hacked and money is stolen. Hackers are very smart, beyond expectations! They can easily figure out the weak point and as a result you get attacked.

Generate Strong Password Easily

Generating a strong password is a bit difficult as you have to keep a track of it. Many users put a simple password because they are easy to remember. And they forget that this is what a hacker is looking for.

In my last post I got a comment from my reader that it really boils to generate a strong password. And so today in this post at SomaniTechShow I am sharing Easy tricks to generate strong passwords and remember them. 

So before we get started, let me tell you how hackers traps to get information required to guess password.

The Traps

These are data collecting tricks. Using these information permutation and combination is applied to generate possible password. This is known as Brute Force. This method has also got a limit. And this is why security experts insist for a password not less than 6 or 8 characters.

This be a phone call or SMS or an E-Mail saying that, "You have won $2500000. To claim give your complete details." 

Details required are like your Full Name, Complete Mailing Address, Phone Numbers, Date of Birth, Birth Place, Parent's Name, Spouse or children's name and so on details like this. I hope you are getting me.

When somebody replies to that mail giving complete details absolutely genuine, they use it for Brute force, as already I stated above.

The other ways are phishing page method. In this an artificial page is created which looks exactly the original page, and when you try to Login in that fake page your password is sent to the page creator.

To protect yourself from this you should always use good Antivirus.

One such good Antivirus is Bitdefender Internet Security.

Easy Password Making Methods

There are already many tools available over internet for making Strong Passwords, but the fact they are too difficult to track those generated passwords.

So here we go with the tricks:

1) Dialogues from your favorite movie:

Yes! This may sound crazy but this is a clean and proved method to make a strong password and keep a track of it. Let me show you an example. 

Here I am taking movie: Titanic, you choose your favorite movie here.

Now the dialogue I like from this movie is:

"A woman's heart is a deep ocean of secrets."

My Password can be:

Awhiadoos (Simply the first characters of all the words.)

OR

<3doosecrets (Since <3 denotes heart, then again first characters. This is extremely strong password.)

So now if I create a password from this line using different combinations, then it is nearly impossible for even an extraordinary hacker to guess the password.

Also,

If you watch Bollywood movies, then there are many favorite dialogues which can make strong password, like:

"Bogambo Khush hua" so the password can be: BogamboHappyHai
So this password is a combination words of two dictionaries(English: Happy; Hindi: Hai) so it becomes further hard to crack this password.

2) Taglines from your favorite devices:

This is another easy method to make a strong passwords.
Every company has got a tagline. If you have iPhone 6 or Samsung S5, Nokia Lumia, Canon Camera or any other device like this, use that tagline as your password. You can also couple it with some other text to make it strong. If you don't remember tagline, search it on internet you will easily find it. For Example:
Nokia : "Connecting People"
Password can be: JoiningLumia630

Is your Gmail Hacked?

Recently 4.93 Million Gmail Accounts got hacked and the passwords are made into a database. All these accounts were hacked by Russians hacker. They got all these data from a security hole in Gmail. The thing is for all useful services provided by Google same Gmail account is used. Some services like YouTube, Google Drive, Google Maps, Google Plus, Wallet Etc. are accessed by the same Gmail account.

Is Gmail Safe?

4.93 Million Accounts are hacked! This number is huge and this naturally puts a question that, Is Gmail is safe to use? A lot of anxiety in users whether their account is also hacked or not (you can check this from link provided at the end of this post). Now this puts a question on your password strength.

Since recently Apple's iCloud was breached and many celebs pictures were stolen and were made public on internet, this clearly answers your question.
Though Gmail is quiet safe, if you want to make it. Let me explain you clearly what I want to say.

How to make Gmail Safe?

The Gmail is so closely linked to our lives that now every internet user has at-least one Gmail account. Whether you are Internet user or Android user you will need a Gmail Account.

The key mantra to account safety is: If you have a strong Password, then your Account is safe.
Whether it is Gmail Account or Apple Account. Now let me tell you something to support my above lines. 

I have two Gmail account. I use my first account everywhere I do a new Signup. And that Gmail ID's password is too simple (so that I can remember it anytime).

And with second Gmail Account I use to write this blog. And this ID's password is a bit strong. And when I checked both of my Gmail ID's whether they are hacked or not, the results were natural. 

My First ID (the one with weak password) was hacked and first two letters were made public, while my second ID was not hacked.

So this clearly answers my, and yours, question. We should not leave any peak hole from our side.

Recommendations to Gmail

Though every user must use a strong password, or at-least a password which is not easily guessable. Some sites have already password recommendations and restrictions like you cannot have your name (First, Second) in your password. Some simple guessable passwords like 123456789, qwertyuiop, abcxyz

and so on like these are not allowed. But Gmail don't have these restrictions. So Gmail should put these restrictions to increase its security that's all we can say.

But put efforts from your part choose a strong password. Rest, leave on Gmail team.

Unhackable Wifi Password type Encryption

Available WiFi Encryption Types

We have basically 4 types of WiFi password encryption available, they are, WEP, WPA, WPA2 and TKIP. All encryption available are explained in detail in this post. And also the best encryption to use so that the WiFi password is un-cracked and it remains secure.

WEP Encryption

This is the weakest Encryption. It is easily hacked using WiFi Analyzers. One such tool is Commview for Wifi. It can easily break your password and hacker can use your WiFi. You should avoid this encryption as far as possible.

WPA Encryption

WPA has got one level up in security but WPA can also be breached using Commview for Wifi and Word dictionary. So it is not recommended to use this Encryption. But it is normally not that easily hacked as WEP but still due to threats it is not recommended.

WPA2 password

To overcome the flaws of WPA encryption, WPA2 came into flow. This is also the available encryption in Android Tethering. This is safe, though can be breached only by some extra talented Black Hat Hackers, so can be used without worrying.

TKIP Encryption

TKIP is the safest and the strongest for WiFi password Encryption. This is completely safe and secure. You should use this encryption as this is the best of all available encryption.

So now if you are using WEP encryption then it puts a question on your security. Is your WiFi secure? And the best password for your WiFi.

Best Wifi Password Type

We have many encryption types available for use, but as I already told you in above lines WEP encryption can be easily hacked using Commview for WiFi.
Also WPA can be cracked using Brute-Force method. This makes WPA unsecure.
So the best type for Wifi Password is TKIP.
WPA2 is also safe and secure but the best and the strongest WiFi password type is TKIP. So if you are using WEP or WPA I suggest you to make it TKIP or WPA2.
